We set out to create the RIDGE because like you, we were frustrated by the level of compromise in the eyewear industry. Brands we had used and loved for years had changed. Bought out by monopolizing competitors, their focus shifted from the consumer to profit and their quality plummeted while prices increased.
As modern day explorers who regularly use and abuse gear in our pursuits, we were unable to find durable honestly priced sunglasses built to last, so we created our own. In line with our mission of enabling as many adventurers as possible to achieve their full potential, we cut out the artificial retail markups through our direct to consumer model to offer world class sunglasses at a radically fair price.
